First time hot tub owner... well... first time working hot tub owner. ;) We rented a place with a busted one once.

Noticed a distinct lack of hot tub content on Lemmy, so here we go!

Unless otherwise noted, we are all amature hot-tubbers, but our advice may be relevant to your needs!

Spa, Swim-Spa, and Sauna owners all welcome!

Long time user(at hotels), first time owner!
Just changed the water and in-laws have the kids for the weekend. Was hoping to use it during our first kid-free weekend in awhile but forecast says rain all weekend. Anyone have ideas or suggestions for temporary way to shield it from rain?

Being an Oregonian, we kind of just welcome the rain. LOL. I used to do hot tub rentals at a place where they were open to the sky, so you'd have a steamy hot tub with cool rain (or snow!) falling and it was super neat!

Ours is covered by a pergola which keeps the direct rain off, but there's still a little mist from the sides.

I guess if it really bothers you, you could get an off-set umbrella, just make sure the base is weighted appropriately so it doesn't blow away:
