If all the AIs glitch in the same way it could cause a financial crash
Futurology
Blackrock used a "ai" (or whatever nowadays qualifies as such, as all "ai" is just Algorithms) for years
Why are you putting AI in quotes? Of course AI is an algorithm, what did you expect it to be lol.
Because there is no intelligence in it. The therm "Artificial Intelligence" ("AI") is just wrong its the same type of algorithm thats common since the early 2000s just with more data and CPU power.
Because there is no intelligence in it.
Yeah, thanks for saying this. Current AI has literally 0 intelligence whatsoever. It’s basically just pattern matching. People are getting all hyped up about these chatbots, when they are literally just pattern matching, glorified autocompletes.
Yeah, thanks for saying this
For repeating the common uninformed narrative about what people think AI is vs what it actually is? Yeah thanks for perpetuating big tech's lies that will get open source initiatives regulated by the government while corps will run unrestricted with your data, good job.
The most common misunderstanding is that people think gpt and such are intelligent. Wich is objectively complete BS. If you think otherwise (which it seems like) you should consider either shutting up or informing yourself correctly.
Yeah thanks for perpetuating big tech's lies that will get open source initiatives regulated by the government while corps will run unrestricted with your data, good job.
I have also no idea where this BS came from. You live in china or something?
LLMs are objectively AI. They are by definition artificial intelligence. It is irrelevant whether or not you ascribe intelligence to them, they are artificial intelligence. If you have no idea that you're literally parroting, that's on you. No idea what china has to do with anything
If an LLM is "Intelligence", then I'm guessing so is, say, a mechanical cash register?
Not even remotely comparable
Basically yes.
Basically no
What background do you have?
A degree in software engineering with a minor in artificial intelligence and a decade of professional development experience.
In other words you have a monetary interest in marketing your algorithms as intelligent...
No? I don't work for an AI company just because I studied that in school. Do you have a reading comprehension issue? You literally parrot big tech's arguments for the restriction of open source AI development and then don't trust someone who literally has experience and training with the topic, fuckin lol
Go sell your snakeoil somewhere else.
It's literally FOSS but ok lol
FOSS snakeoil doesn't mean it is working the way its advertised... But as i said. Sell your snakeoil somewhere else. Even if you "don't get money for it"
😂
Exactly, its the same type of algorithm that gives you personalized ads, just with different content.
This is so hilariously incorrect
Artificial intelligence is a field that has existed since the inception of computer science. Just because you don't understand it, doesn't make it not AI. Literally all AI now and forever will be algorithms with more data and compute power. It is so abundantly clear that you have no clue what you're talking about.
The research on artificial intelligence is one thing, they want to reach a actual ai.
The product called "AI" however is not.
In your words "It is so abundantly clear that you have no clue what you're talking about."
Show me the intelligence of shit like Chatgpt if you want to prove your point. Its literally not able to create anything new it cannot be intelligent.
AI in movies and AI in real life are not the same things you seem confused. AI is a field of research, which includes LLMs, that has existed since the very birth of computer science in the 40s. LLMs can objectively create new things, that is quite literally their whole purpose. Have you even used one for more than five minutes? I have been working with them in a professional capacity for the better part of 4 years now.
