That was intense. Best game they've played all season I think.

I suspect whatever was bothering Ovi is back. He wasn't hitting people much and had only one or two shots all night.

Wish the Caps were better on faceoffs. Ended around 40% but it was in the low 30% for much of the game.

Chucky was stellar.

If we beat the flyers tomorrow we'll be playing the Rangers round 1. Crazy.

Rangers

I’ll take that matchup all day.

I'm still not too fond of their coach.

In the other thread I mentioned how many Boston fans were there last night...and I wasn't kidding, there was a LOT of them. Yellow everywhere you looked. They were trying to do Boston cheers, which only got the Caps fans more fired up.

Didn't hear much from the Boston fans after the first, though. Good, that game could have easily gone the other way.

This feels like a playoff game in the arena!

Heh. We share season tickets with a group, and we picked this one figuring it wouldn't be that important (I think our other choices were taken by the time we got to our last pick).

RESULT: Caps win, 2-0, maintaining WC2 with one game left in regular season.

Next up: Off to Philly tonight for the encore.
