Japan Life
For people already living in Japan - anything relevant to living or working in Japan such as lifestyle, food, style, environment, education, technology, housing, work, visas, sport etc.
With ryuchell's passing, I learned just how little accepting the Japanese are of transgender folk
Yeah. I mean, it totally depends on the individual. But it always boggles my mind when discussion of same sex marriage comes up for whatever reason how ignorant some people can be. These people I have spoken to I would say are very intelligent and socially adept people. However they are over the age of 50 and just outright refuse to accept that people who are not straight should have to same rights. They don’t even have good reasons. Just that they can’t accept it.
Although Japan seems to have more transgender celebrities on mainstream TV than my home country, I feel that they are looked at as sideshow freaks sadly.
I'm not from Japan, but, recently learned about the different types of uni from Hokkaido. I'm in the U.S.
I'm hoping to find the varieties to compare.
