In short: A Noosa teenager has been arrested in the middle of her sentencing hearing for her part in the torture of a schoolgirl.

Three girls were arrested last March for the incident at a house at Tewantin in the Noosa Shire that was filmed and went viral on Tik Tok.

What's next? The eldest offender will reappear in court on April 22. A 12-year-old co-accused of the torture is expected to face court next month.

A little north of Brisbane, but damn... What a bunch of losers.

While on bail for the torture, the second eldest offender was caught multiple times travelling in stolen cars and stealing hundreds of dollars in fuel from service stations.

Lovely.

Clearly this person is going to grow into a productive member of society.

Not to excuse any of this, but that background story is wild. Fuck those parents.

Sounds like certain somebodies have never faced any real consequences, ever.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

On Monday March 25, Maroochydore District Court Judge Gary Long adjourned the case to weigh the severity of the offending against the girls' young ages and prospects of rehabilitation.

The now 14-year-old pleaded guilty to stealing, unlawful use of motor vehicle, 28 breaches of bail, torture, deprivation of liberty, attempting to pervert justice, robbery, assault occasioning bodily harm and failure to appear in court

Judge Long told the girl, who appeared via video-link from Brisbane Youth Detention Centre, that her participation in the torture and subsequently bragging about it on social media was "egregious" and "abhorrent".

Crown prosecutor Rebecca Marks detailed an "extremely traumatic" four hours on March 11, 2023, in which the 13-year-old victim was subjected to "revolting" taunts, spat on, punched, cut with a knife, and made to lick the girls' feet among other "degrading" acts.

When the torture footage started getting negative reactions online, she made further posts attempting to downplay her involvement and lay the blame on the eldest girl as the instigator.
