Ik there's more advance weapons in this time but a wristbow would be cooler, he does have some grenades on the slingbag lol
In post-apocalyptic without ready access to complex machines crossbow/wristbow makes a lot of sense since it's easy to fashion on one's own without the need for special equipment (i.e. a metal-working mill).
