This is a very incremental update
Ultrasonic FP sounds like a decent update. People have complained about the optical one for years. I'm considering upgrading from my P5, but maybe I'll hold out til the 9.
Do we know if they are doing a PRO? If not I'd just get the 7Pro when it drops in price after the 8 comes out. Specs are going to be pretty close to the same and the screen is a bit bigger.
Previous leaks included info on the Pro, same larger screen and 3 camera setup. However this time around the screen is rumored to be flat instead of curved on the sides.
That might be worth the upgrade just on it's own. I hate the curved edges on screens.
No reason to move from my Pixel 6.
As an ex-OnePlus fan (OP9Pro was my last device) and owner of P7Pro, I am very disappointed in Pixel's USB-C capabilities. Charging speed is a joke, chinese models get 80w. Also no DAC on pixel. Also screen feels a bit "cheap" compared to OP9Pro. Looks like upcoming model is no better...
The only thing I do NOT miss from oneplus is their shitty software.
Also would love to see battery that would hold 2-3 days rather than 0.5-0.8 day...
