TIL, the formatting on Wordpress is horrible for mobile. Nice post though.

I guess I'm just disappointed that Spez and co. are pulling a Weekend at Bernie's to cash out before letting Reddit die. The naked greed that they're probably going to get away with just makes my head spin.

@coolcat1711 @[email protected] I hope it won't work out for them as they expect. Investors are not (always) stupid and there's plenty of bad news about the impact of this decision.

Try using the reader mode, most browser apps have them inbuilt(atleast on ios, not sure about android)

It worked way better for me after using it

Sad to see it go, but it wasn't sad to send us packing. So, bon voyage, I suppose.

I was on Reddit for more than ten years and spent a lot of time there. I was really sad when Reddit sync closed down but i haven't been back to Reddit since. They made their bed, they can lie in it.

This is the first article I've read where they've referred to the fediverse as the "Threadiverse". Seems to imply Threads is a central part to the fediverse.

Nah, "threadiverse" is in use way before facebook. It's used to refer to lemmy+kbin

Ah okay, thanks for the clarification. I came over with the reddit migration, so I'm still learning.

I think fediverse is used to refer to everything including Mastodon. The most people just rely on context.

Nice post, good read, thanks for sharing. I look forward to the day where there are "share with" icons for lemme/kbin at the bottom of wordpress articles 😜

Argh, I posted a fairly mediocre comment on another similar post. And I'm torn if I should copy paste it here.
