Great book! I couldn't put it down. It's scary how much social media influences everything we do now.

Well, at least on lemmy the algo is open source, fairly simple, and not optimized for ad views.

I mean, we were doing this before algorithms. Advertising has existed for a very long time. Guess it’s more scary if you call it algorithms instead.
