I'd have the opposite reaction. Why wouldn't she? It's a new, fast growing social platform from a big company. Personally, I'd rather not sign up. For a person known to the public, I'd view it like "Let me try this one out, too"

Because the stuff with Twitter isn't just drama. Ethan & Hila have both used Twitter for a long time, and it's not really a viable microblogging platform anymore. The traffic is tanking, they completely switched off discoverability to the outside world, tweets can no longer be embedded, etc. In terms of enshittification it's in a whole other league comparted to Reddit or really anything else. It's actually done, so I guess Hila's using Threads for microblogging since as an Instagram user she would've seen the marketing for it. As a non-user of either, I'm glad, at this way I can see her posts if I want
