Does anyone else find it strange she signed up for threads? I know that aren't a fan of elon and Twitter but I'm a little shocked.

Btw I'm not saying this as like "eww wtf is she doing". Just genuinely confused as to why??? Not like she needs the extra platform.

I'd have the opposite reaction. Why wouldn't she? It's a new, fast growing social platform from a big company. Personally, I'd rather not sign up. For a person known to the public, I'd view it like "Let me try this one out, too"

I guess I hadn't seen it like that!

Because the stuff with Twitter isn't just drama. Ethan & Hila have both used Twitter for a long time, and it's not really a viable microblogging platform anymore. The traffic is tanking, they completely switched off discoverability to the outside world, tweets can no longer be embedded, etc. In terms of enshittification it's in a whole other league comparted to Reddit or really anything else. It's actually done, so I guess Hila's using Threads for microblogging since as an Instagram user she would've seen the marketing for it. As a non-user of either, I'm glad, at this way I can see her posts if I want
