I’ll be honest, I’d never heard of the idea until recently when a friend of a friend mentioned it to me on a night out.
I'll be honest, I don't think I can trust a word this guy says. He writes about online tech for a living (including social media coverage) and he's only now hearing about the Fediverse?
Curious to learn more, I decided to canvass some experts for their opinions on it – whether it’s desirable or even achievable.
He's just learning about the Fediverse, so who does he interview for his first article about it? Let's see...(1) the chief marketing officer at Los Angeles-based event planning company Breezit, (2) the head of events at Web3 consultancy CryptoOracle, (3) the CEO and founder of social media app start-up Calaxy, and (4) the founder of cryptocurrency Tether.
LOL what the capitalist shit is this? This article is trash...it says absolutely nothing about the tech behind the Fediverse though it's supposed to be a tech article on a tech news site, barely mentions Mastodon in passing (in the teaser line, of all places), doesn't mention any other parts of the 'verse like Lemmy or any urls for that matter, doesn't bother investigating why the Fediverse is gaining in popularity, interviews executives from unrelated tech companies, and ~~shoehorns~~ shills crypto. Holy fuck, what trash.
