This seemed so far and unexpected because everyone seemed to think it was a Pokémon Legends Black/White game. I wasn't sure what it was at first until I saw Z-A at the end. Then I cheered because I remembered Lumoise City was was set in Kalos.

On one hand, I'm excited because I feel like XY introduced the most interesting unexplored lore, like the war and Az, so I'm hoping they expand on that. On the other hand, I'm not sure how I feel about literally the entire game being set in Lumiose City. I know games can be good and still be set within a single city, but I wonder how they're going to have "wild" areas in an urban setting.

I'd given up hope about Pokémon Z ever being a thing, ngl, much less expecting a Legends game for it. By the time this comes out I'll have been waiting for this game for a literal decade. I am SO fucking hyped.

as an aside, I probably will never end up actually calling it its real name cuz Pokémon Z lol

Absolutely not. That was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.

I'm sad my favorite gen is being skipped, I was really hoping for a legends Kyurem game that went into the idea of the original dragon. Legends Z-A still looks pretty interesting though.

I kinda did. It wasn't my likeliest bet, but given that the reason that Dialga, Palkia and Giratina cannot be caught in SV is because of Legends: Arceus; the unexplained absence of Xerneas, Yveltal and Zygarde was a bit sus.
