San Francisco and several other governments have categorized them as a domestic terrorist group. That seems preposterous since they don't use violence to accomplish their goals, and instead use money and influence just like every other group in the country, but it is what it is.

They have a lot of "involuntary" members. Some gun ranges require membership. I think they get an insurance discount? Over on /r/liberalgunowners I saw a lot of reasons people joined but didn't want to.

I won't listen to political gun nuts, but still, I'm shocked to hear even the briefest mention of the NRA. No one is talking about it.

In any case, they're dying hard.
