Turkey does not have sharia law. Greece has sharia law for family law(for the muslims of Thrace because of treaties signed 100+ years ago). And because the mufti(muslim priest/judge), is a judge, the greek state assigns one while the muslims of thrace choose their own mufti. This has been a point of contention.

In fact the muslims of Thrace didnt even have the option to choose greek family law till a few years ago when a law passed that gave them that option.

Turkey is still a secular country. Lots of voices raised for her detainment...

...yet there are some voices unraised purely because she could be using Kemalizm/secularism to cover accusations (and possible arrest) of money laundering and tax evasion.
