This is a video I'd been wanting to make for a long time, the tides were right for me to paddle up the inlet at low tide, and walk around it at high tide before it got dark. The height difference is a few metres between low and high, the distance is over a kilometer.

Easily my favourite little corner of NZ… looks like I need to book a kayak trip in there though, Mosquito Bay is an area I haven’t visited I think.

You can't walk to it, at least not on any official track, so the best way is definitely by kayak.

I'd strongly recommend taking the time to explore all the inlets as you go, too many people miss all the good stuff and simply blow right past it all in a rush to get to the next campsite.
