I can see posts from lemmy.ml on lemmy.world. But when I go on lemmy.ml directly, I get 502 Bad Gateway. The pictures on the lemmy.ml posts I see are also missing. Does this happen to anyone else? Or am I doing something wrong?

EDIT: I can now visit lemmy.ml after forcing ipv4. If you also get 502 Bad Gateway, you can try forcing ipv4 or go to other instances like lemmy.world or sopuli.xyz.

it's ipv6 related bug, try to force ipv4 if you can, for me switching from ipv6 apn to ipv4 one on my mobile: https://lemmy.ml/post/1245529

I cannot see the post you linked on lemmy.ml at first, but it is now working after I forced ipv4. However I am not sure if forcing ipv4 at all times has any negative impact. I cannot be bothered to turn on and off the setting just to browse lemmy.ml.

It's down, they've been overloaded.

Try forcing ipv4. It works for me.

Yup, they did an upgrade early yesterday and something is messed up. I suspect they'll get it sorted soon, but it's not you, it's affecting lots of folks.

Down for me too. I wish there was some kind of status page for instances so we could see what’s down.

Yes, lemmy.ml was not supposed to turn into such a big instance and is now being overloaded. They already upgraded the server but it seems like it's not yet enough

It's happening to me, too. This is what happens when there's a perceived "default" instance. (That reminds me, I should really move off of mastodon.social.) Thankfully, I can still pull communities via search.
