Like, franchises exist in the muggle world, but most certainly also in the wizarding world, right?

Considering in the 1990 they were still using owls, I wouldn't worry to much about the adoption of the 'muggle internet'

I’ll go with: it feels comfortably familiar. The wizarding world piloted magic-enhanced electronics (PCs & phones), but determined the costs (e.g. to attention spans, from potential dark wizard influence) outweighed the convenience.

So basically the wizards opened themselves up to the Muggles and shared their "tech" with them. Interesting idea ... its a little bit like now in the Silicon Valley. Are they also teaching actual magic to muggles such that they can make their own spells and stuff?
