At first I was disappointed a lot of redditors were pushing back on lemmy because of what that would mean for growth, but I've recently missed the days when the internet was harder to access.

Maybe that means I'm an elitist, or maybe that I'm just tired of people being shits everywhere.

Some people will still be shits. But at least now we don't have to depend on some company to let us communicate.

Agreed. It has some typing bugs.

But this is just the start. I'm sure it'll catch up to the quality of mastodon.

It really is better.

Yeah everyone is super chill, super open and the discussion is very broad. I believe it's because everyone is hype and the problematic users are not here yet.

If they arrive (let's hope they won't), let's just kindly and calmly show them the door. I really want this place to stay as awesome as it is rn

I already had to block a "free speech" absolutist who said I'm forcing him to be a Nazi, so sadly they are already here.

We're in the honeymoon phase right now...

Yeah, I'm concerned about this as well.

Let's hope until then lemmy is developed enough to combat these problems as well.

Wow, I can't believe we've even got seal users on Lemmy.

Glad to hear there's an IOS app in devel. Would love to give it a shot but unfortunately for me beta's full. I will stick to the web app for now ! Thanks for the answer :))
