“BD” refers to Franco-Belgian comics, but let's open things up to include ALL Euro comics, especially GN's. Euro-style work from around the world is also welcome!

* BD = "Bandes dessinées"
* BDT = Bedetheque
* GN = graphic novel
* LBK = Lambiek
* LC = "Ligne claire"

Very hard to find good information on this since it's a niché comic mostly popular in the Scandinavian countries. Long-running series (70's and onwards, last album came out in 2009), following the characters of Norse mythology like Thor, Loki, Odin and so on.

Definitively worth a read, telling the stories of old but in a comedic context.

Here's some cover images showing the charming mix between classic comicbook style drawings and the dark lore of Norse mythology:

I've leafed through this one and thought it to be good work, only there's one problem-- I'm kinda stuck on the Norse mythos being much grimmer in tone. Too bad, because I do like the genre. I found Walt Simonson's work on Thor, for example, to be just superb, altho that must be... decades old at this point. And of course, an American-Marvel product.
