Maybe a grey tree frog? The can slowly change color from green to grey. They can also change the contrast of their patterning. They can be more blended in than this.

Luke the Lichenfrog. I'm off to Google him and see if he is a grey tree frog and if there's a way to tell if he's a he or she.
