My wallet wore out about a year ago. I liked the general shape, but was looking for a fun project, so instead of buying a new one I made a similar one, first out of paper, then scrap canvas, then scrap leather, then a final version from Walpier Buttero with edge paint and hand stitching in an accent color. I designed it in Inkscape, and laser-cut the pieces, including the holes for stitching, which allowed me to get very precise stitches. Not pictured - several paper/staples iterations on the pockets tweaking the pattern to my liking

Looks great. Love the blue thread. Is it Ritza?
Yep, Ritza 25 Tiger thread 0.6 Aqua
Finally got that colour Ritza! RM is the only one I could find to get it. $20 to Canada but I ordered a bunch more to make up for that lol. Got some new tools and more thread colours. 💪
Nice! I hope that it works out well for you! Mine is still holding up beautifully
Hm… where did you get the colour? None of my usual suppliers have the colour “aqua”

Thanks for the link. I’ll have to see if they ship to Canada! I think I’ll start a thread with suppliers by country as well.
Community resources like that are super valuable! Hopefully community wikis will eventually be a thing
Sweet! I need to get that one. I love the colour combo. And I have an evergrowing Ritza collection 🙈
That’s the way to go! I don’t see any pictures … can you post some?
Pictures of the paper ones I left out, or are you not seeing the main picture I posted of the 4 other iterations side-by-side?
It didn’t show any. But now it does. Might have been my connection.
Love it, is the signature on the bottom right laser engraved?
Yes! Though I’ve foil stamped something there instead for the similar ones I’ve made as gifts since
Awesome, which Lazer machine do you use?
I have the Dremel LC40, and it’s served me well, but there are better options available now and Dremel has stopped manufacturing them
