Hiked Torreys and Grays last week, quick route/trip report.

Went up to Grays first, ended up hopping up to the CDT and following the ridgeline up to the summit. The standard switchbacks were still really snow covered so I'd say it was an easier route. Ended up putting our traction on for one section of the climb.

Took the saddle back over to Torreys, the way down was super snowy, ended up glissading several times, was not envious of those who went Torreys first and had to climb there way up to Grays. Once we were at the low spot the snow thinned out and we were able to fly right up Torreys.

Decent from Torreys was painless, threw out traction on to traverse the snow field and made it back to the main trail.

GPX of the planed route and the actual, don't mind the straight line from Torreys summit to the trail intersection, bumped my watch and wasn't tracking that part of the descent.

Psst. thank you for starting this community. I probably won't have much to post but it's one I love to lurk on and dream about.
