NBA Basketball Discussion

Just wanted to know what people think about the new Pacers roster and how it might do in the East in the coming season and afterward. We don't normally see a lot of Pacers discussion, but I think the moves recently have been interesting, if not inspired.

What do you think?

Sold off Duarte at his lowest price, so I don't like that.

I like Bruce Brown, and it might be an overpay but also it's a low risk one since it's it's two 1 year deals with that team option. Bruce Brown makes winning plays if you can keep playing him when his shot is off.

Toppin has a questionable jumper but as a lob threat high energy guy he should be a good fit.

Shouldn't expect much from rookies, but Walker should have easy chemistry Halliburton in the pick and roll. If he can get hit his 3s then him and Bruce Brown can play together.

Now everything I just wrote doesn't really matter, because ultimately everything comes down to how good Halliburton can be. If Halliburton takes another step I can see yall in the playoffs above the play-in cut off, but I also think the west got better. I think the west got better in general and the east got weaker, so should have an easier time making the playoffs too. But 10 times don't equal a dollar, so probably are going to need to put another star next Halliburton eventually unless someone like Mathurin or Walker can be that guy.
