You can also mention anything from Legends.

Leia going to the secret rebel base on Yavin on a ship she knew was being tracked by the Empire.

Why not change ships?

Her retreat was worse than the maneuver. If they had done the maneuver earlier (and with a less important person at the helm), it might have actually mattered.

That said, the naval tatics they use are atrocious. Firing lines? Broadsides? What is this the age of fucking sail? No, use your radar and fucking missles.

I don't know if it's strictly military, but if it was more militaristic, it probably would have made it better:

The sequel trilogy. What an embarrassing mess. Somehow they made 3 movies almost as bad as the prequels.

Marvel too - they haven't made a decent movie since Infinity War, and even that couldn't hold a candle to ol' feelings-hurtin' Whedon's original Avengers (I'm not counting spider-man movies in this since they're shared with other creative forces that somehow manage to make good movies despite all the super obvious studio-ruining going on over there).

And no doubt we're all holding our breath in fear that the new Indiana Jones with a dementia-ridden Ford will be so cringey it'll ruin the others (not crystal skull, nothing could make that utter bore of a movie worse)

Ya know, every month Amazon brings back old, forgotten, but consistently good movies on Prime Video. I'd say about 95% of them are more watchable and interesting than the new Disney property's attempts. This is why they need a military to occupy them and make them make good movies. Send in the National Guard and the movie is not done until you have something coherent and enjoyable.

almost as bad as the prequels

Almost? The sequels were an an absolute mess. Where do I even start?

The prequels had their own problems, sure, but they did not reach the lazy lows of the sequels.

Might have to start a topic of its own on this. 😄

You're right, I've never thought about that, but the prequels were an atrocity committed by yes-men, the sequels were committed by lazy writing and studio interference.

Please don't.

Reddit /r/StarWars was way too devoted to repeating the same memes about how bad the ST was. Most of those memes are actually false and indicated people spent more time watching youtube videos about the ST rather than the movies themselves. It gets frustrating debunking the same dumb memes over and over.

Why not just post about the things in Star Wars you like? Why spend time discussing movies you don't like?

Bro I'm a prequels fan.

Also, The Clone Wars season 7, The Bad Batch, the Mandalorian and maybe Andor are amazing. (Haven't finished watching Andor) and they're Disney Plus exclusive.

I hated Mandalorian and haven't watched anything else you mentioned because it's all just disney telling you it's good even though it's really not.

Bro. The mandalorian is good. Really good. What kind of argument is "Disney is telling you it's good so you have to think is good"? Go outside and have some fresh air.

I respect your opinion, but I didn't like the Mando. I thought it was way overrated due to Disney's social media presence.
