I have a document, and I like the way Wikipedia formats references: with numbers in square brackets (ex: [4]). I have found how to enable them to show up as such in the document, but the bibliography panel in the document doesn't show the numbers. How do I make the square bracket tags show up in the bibliography section in a document?

Go to "Insert > Table of Contents and Index > Table of Contents, Index, or Bibliography..."

Select "Bibliography" from the "Type" row.

Check the "Number entries" box and select "[ ]" for the "Brackets" row, then click OK. The bracket tags should show up in the bibliography section.

I hope this helps.

It only applies to the tags in paragraphs, and it doesn't apply to the large bibliography reference box (it only shows the content of the entry).
