Burns Night is the Scottish Burns Night.

Oh I'm happy tae share

I feel like new years day is the Scottish Christmas. It's quite a traditional family thing with a steak pie being a big feast meal.

Burns Night is more a national day. People don't really celebrate St Andrews day as much, I always felt Burns night was the substitute for this. The meal is also about humility and a celebration of culture and history. So national days and thanksgivings feel more appropriate comparisons.

Gimme some recipes!! How do u make haggis burritos!?

[–] Olap 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Tortilla, beans, and rice to start. Then haggis, salsa, cheddar, jalapeños, sour cream, and secret ingredient: chips, small McDs style for crispness. Avoid the neeps

What kinda beans? Black beans? My OH hates peas and beans so could they be left out??

[–] Olap 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It ain't a burrito wi'oot rice an beans. Black beans work best, but pinto also a shout. Leave em oot an it might still taste awricht, but ah dinnae ken fit tae caw it!
