Boeing handed over 50 airplanes to customers last month, up from 35 in April, though it trails rival Airbus in deliveries so far this year.

Boeing last week said a new manufacturing flaw will slow near-term deliveries of its 787 Dreamliners.

The Paris Air Show kicks off on Monday, when Boeing, Airbus and other aerospace manufacturers will meet with customers and potentially announce more new orders.

Maybe someone who knows more about this can answer, but are these sorts of issues that Boeing has been having with new delivers usual? Seems like a new thing for someone who has just started paying attention.

Not an expert, but there have been more issues with the models using composite bodies just because the manufacturing issues haven't been nailed down as well as metal bodies. Airbus had issues with the A350 paint as well.
