I think it should be a year.

The way overdue bills and overdraft fees start to pile up. Trying to plan for holidays and birthdays.

Sure, but they must have skin in the game. Say, if they cheat or leave the show early, they lose a non-trivial amount of their fortunes.

there was a show called Undercover Boss where the CEO of the company had to dress up like a common Joe and live the life of one of his employees for a week. the employee who treated him better was then rewarded by the CEO with money, promotions etc.

The problem I had with that show is that the people the boss interacted with were surely predetermined.

I would be expected a show like this to have similarly orchestrated situations.

Hardly possible to get authentic situations when you need to follow them with a full film crew and have anyone sign a release so can use the footage.
