In the psychedelic rave culture of the 90s, the more intrepid ones had a name for this combination - "candy flip".

Can confirm. Flips can prevent bad trips. To an extent. The issue here is timing. An acid trip lasts 6-8 hrs and you peak for 2-4. Mdma isaybe 30-45 min to peak.

In other words you could come off the mdma and the "second half" could go bad.
