Today, I'm wearing Osmofolia's Olfactorium (pink pepper, coffee, paper, iso e super, milk, coumarin, sandalwood, marshmallow). I got this as a free sample with my summer order. As a coffee addict, I'm in love. Wet: I get the smell of coffee and paper printer. It's warm and comforting. On the drydown, I get more of the milk and marshmallow notes like I added creamer to the coffee. This is a lovely gourmand perfume.

Today I'm doing a full wear test of Osmofolia Cicada kid (notes: windswept grass, dandelions pushing through cracks in asphalt, strongly brewed black tea, handfuls of thyme stuffed into raggedy pockets, and a half-eaten bag of marshmallows). I'm working my way through my purchase so I can do a full review in a few days! This one was a risky choice for me. I'm not normally one for "green" scents, but I really wanted to try this one. I'm glad I did! It's a softer grass note, not sharp like freshly cut grass. The thyme and dandelion lend to the greenery but in a nice herbaceous way. I get the asphalt but it's not too overbearing, it's very interesting. As it dries down I get tea and marshmallow. It's never too sweet, but you get that powdery softness as it wears. Overall I'm really happy with this one, it's a really nice summer atmospheric.
I've been really interested in this one, too, but for opposite reasons than yours, I think. :) I love green scents, but I've been wary of the "marshmallow-iness". If it comes off as powdery instead of sweet, though, that sounds like something I might really like.
It really doesn't pull too sweet, I think it's worth a try!
Awesome, thanks!
This is my first post here so, hello! Glad to find an IMAM community here on Lemmy!
Today I am wearing Woodcut from Olympic Orchids. Notes are: Fractional distillations of pine and cedar, oakwood absolute, tolu balsam, olibanum, caramel, burnt sugar, vanilla.
This is one of my go-to favorites. Alcohol based, excellent wear, moderate throw. At first spray, you basically feel like you entered a lumber mill. Very realistic smell of freshly cut pine and cedar. The vibe is redwood forest lumberjack. There’s a faint burnt scent, not like smoke but like maybe friction from a saw cutting a large tree. Halfway through the wear, the fresh cut wood becomes less intense and a faint warm sweetness becomes more present and lingers through the rest of the day. That faint caramel/vanilla/brown sugar goes so great with the sharp lumber notes. They bring this scent out of totally weird/for at home use only territory and into interesting but wearable everyday scent. 5/5
Welcome! Happy to have you! I've heard good things about Olympic Orchid, and this scent sounds lovely!
