Welcome to CoverVerse, where the familiar tunes you love get a fresh coat of paint! Imagine a world where your favorite songs aren't just replayed, but reborn – sometimes with a funky hat, other times with a whole new wardrobe.

In this corner of the internet, we're all about celebrating creativity in music. Whether you're unearthing hidden gems of covers from the depths of the web or strutting your stuff with your own vocal or instrumental renditions, this is your stage. Here, a Beatles classic might turn into a jazz ensemble, or a Taylor Swift hit could get a rock 'n' roll twist – as long as it's not just tweaking the original track, it's fair game!

Think of CoverVerse as your go-to playlist for the never-heard-that-way-before versions of songs. But it's more than just a playlist; it's a community. Share your finds, applaud the creativity of fellow members, and maybe even collaborate to create the next cover that makes everyone go, "Wow, I never thought of it that way!"

Rules:

So, if you're ready to hear the classics like you've never heard them before and discover new favorites you never knew you needed, hit that subscribe button. Welcome to CoverVerse – where music gets a new lease on life!

--edit-- Ok, going to go ahead and close this poll down; look for a post soon communicating the preferred post format etc.

Cheers!

I hope you're all enjoying discovering and sharing amazing cover songs here.

For a while now, I've been using SongWhip to share links. It's been a useful tool to consolidate links from different platforms into one landing page.

But here's something I've been pondering for a bit, and now it's time to bring it to the table for your thoughts:

I've noticed (and some of you have pointed out) that getting to the actual song via SongWhip can feel like a bit of a journey – click the post link, navigate the landing page, and sometimes even click "Open in app".

So, here's where I need your input:

👍 Upvote this post if you think we should continue using SongWhip. It's a great way to access songs across multiple platforms from one link.

👎 Downvote if you believe we should stop using SongWhip and share songs directly.

I'll run this poll for a week (ending on Jan. 24th). The majority's preference will guide the next steps. Also, feel free to drop any suggestions or alternatives in the comments.

Looking forward to your votes and comments, forty2

I have no strong feelings about SongWhip. When I see a SW link, I make a beeline to the Youtube button because that's where I prefer to hear these songs, but I also understand some people would like to have Spotify/Apple music links.

So even though I get no real use from it, I don't really find it annoying or anything. It's one extra click, but I'll live.

Oh, is it that menu with the different sources? Yeah, I only ever use YouTube, too.

Little late to this discussion but I like Songwhip if only because I don’t want to contribute directly to YouTube if fellow listeners have other options available to them. I was using Yewtube and Piped until recently but both platforms seemed to be giving me issues in the past couple weeks.

I think SongWhip is a good option, i like to use deezer which is rarely used directly, but sometimes i have problem finding the version of a song in songwhip in this cases i use youtube.

I have no idea what SongWhip is or if I've ever interacted with it in the past.
