Since web searches are almost useless for this kind of thing anymore, I wanted to see if anyone here has KC restauraunt recommendations for vegan eating. Been living here a couple years and have been to and like the Fix, Mud Pie, the Wooden Spoon, and Blue Koi, but I'd love to have more options.

Love the many vegan roll options at Blue Sushi (2 locations, one in westwood and power and light district). I adore the cowgirl roll…fried pickle, crispy onions, smoky soy wrapper. They also have vegan substitutes for spicy tuna and tobiko, which is fun. Tree Hugger north of the river on Vivion rd is great too. The Monte Cristo is so so good.

I don't have other recommendations but I can't see the Fix brought up and not hype them up, their fried chicken is amazing, they work some plant magic

I think I've only ever had their burger, I'll have to get my chicken on!

Have you checked out the app happy cow? I'm not in the area, so don't know how populated it is. But when traveling that's the first place I check for vegan options.

No I haven't! I will though!

How strictly vegan are you? If dairy is okay most Indian food is good. They use ghee (clarified butter) when cooking

I try to avoid all animal products, including dairy and honey. Thanks for bringing that up though

You could try one of KC's excellent Ethiopian places! Elsa's and Blue Nile are great.

Oh yeah, I've been to Blue Nile and liked it! I'll have to try Elsa's too, thanks.
