I’m gonna start preparing for the civil war.

Were you expecting anything else?

If you're starting now you're way behind, some of these nutters have been planning for decades.

Just learn how to rob fortified positions instead. /s

Yeah when the war breaks out I'm just going to fucking kill myself. I'm not living through that shit.

Fuck that, take some of your enemies with you on your way out.

Nah. It's sleeping pills for me.

[–] DigitalTraveler42 2 points 10 months ago

Not a bad idea, invite them in, drug them with sleeping pills, slit their throats, just like the European resistance did the first time we had to fight Nazi fuckheads.

(Don't worry I know you still meant suicide)

“This is the third we’ve won, but this is the biggest,” he said.

In fact, he lost Iowa in the 2016 primaries to Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. His win in 2020 was as the sitting president with but token opposition.

Fucking beautiful. What a just surreal time to be alive.

I've lost all respect for amerikkka. It's ruined everything when it comes to social media and is the reason the rest of us can't have nice things. I've been searching for new social spaces online becasue all the main ones are toxic piles of shit now.

Not everyone online is american, not everyone online hates who you hate. Some of us are just disabled and want to have pleasant conversations with people. We're not allowed to do that anymore.

Remember that Iowa is not representative of the entire country. They have attempted over decades to position themselves as "king makers"

[–] cosmicrookie 2 points 10 months ago

Well, the definition of king makers is that they are not representative of the country.

[–] ook_the_librarian 1 points 10 months ago

Wait, are you telling me that wanted to be king makers for decades? Is it possible that they horribly misunderstood that phase?

Think about it. Twenty years ago, what king did they put into power? That's right, Steve King. It's the only explanation for anyone voting for him. I mean. I can't image another one.

Obviously, I'm joking, but the truth is, any state keeps Steve King in power can't be representative. Iowa only has four districts. If one quarter of their delegation to the HoR was Steve fucking King, they would have send world-class liberals next to him to even hope of being representative of the nation. But that world-class liberal doesn't exist.

Iowa's reps are almost always 3 R and 1 D. Until 2021, one of those Rs was Steve King. Iowa currently has 4 Rs in the house. I'm so glad we gave up the contest to win the hearts and minds of that state.
