I saw the fireworks at the Q2 stadium tonight, but from a building nearby.

I thought they were kind of meh. 11 minutes and the grand finale was not grand.

Were people inside the stadium able to see them? From a distant angle, it looked like they were being launched off the top of the roof on the southern seating area.

I always thought people went to Willie's 4th of July Picnic for the music. Willie Nelson, Dwight Yoakum, Asleep at the Wheel, Shakey Graves, etc all played. For fireworks I'd pick Lady Bird Lake instead for sure

The music is pretty good st Auditorium Shores too

They didn't play the 1812 Overture this year, slightly disappointing.

Yeah, the Q2 experience is a little too “new Austin”. The more established venues have had time to polish the experience.

Not really. It was a chance for Willie to get set up on stage, though.
