Hello,

My keto journey started in the first days of April so i am 3 month in. I managed to loose around 10-11 kg so far going from 101 to around 90 kg.

Now I’m on a pretty solid plateau and didn’t lose any fat for 15 days. Any tips to start the next fat loss period?

Btw. I’m on mild keto so less then 50g carbs a day.

First, congratulations; 10-11 kg is a great start!

Are you tracking your macros? How much of a caloric deficit are you running? Do you know if 50g of carbs is keeping you in ketosis? (20g is traditionally used because it pretty safely keeps you in ketosis, but some people can consume considerably more carbs and still stay in ketosis.)

Are any of your other metrics changing -- pants/belt size, etc. Sometimes you can drop a size without actually losing any weight.

You could try intermittent fasting. Sometimes that helps people jump-start things.

Thank you for your suggestions. I’m not tracking macros right now eating what I want to but only considering the carbs. Until now it was working seems that I have to start with it to get the progress running.

Kudos on your success so far, it’s a great feat and I hope you’re giving yourself the credit and pride you deserve.

I’m actually in the same boat. I started in May, am pleased with the direction I’m headed, but am seemingly lost and frustrated when it comes to these plateaus.

This post I just found in the wild has really helped remind me of what’s actually happening and how to deal with it logically. It is a marathon, not a sprint- I hope it’ll help you, too and that we both keep on keepin’ on with the wins!

Thank you very much for the comment and the post. Really helped to understand what’s going on.

Also keep on with your weight loss journey. I personally find keto very beneficial for many health related things so it’s worth the efforts!
