Wow, I'm drooling! My mum had a Singer when I was a kid, she made almost all our clothes on it. Really solid, good quality machines. Hers didn't have drawers though, that is a great feature.

It's all metal parts too! I got a tip from a friend to look for vintage machines from the 50s and 60s as it's before they started making everything plastic. I was thinking of buying a new machine but my limited research indicated I'd do better getting a used one with my budget. I paid only 100€ for this.

A former mother in law gave me a 7xx model iirc. It's quite similar looking. The tension adjust can stick occasionally, but when it works it works. It is missing parts, but most basic functions work great and I have one non-broken bottom bobbin, so it's a great machine.
