I finished putting together the XM-XX Ghost Gundam, and holy crap this was the best model building experience I've ever had. While the special shiny finish was perfect, the massive amount of undergates helped maintain the finish, except some of the arm pieces.

However, the true standout was just how well every piece fit together. These pieces slid together like they were made out of silk. It just felt so nice.

I'm jealous! That looks slick! I was too late to get one, but I did get an X-0. I'm hoping to pair it with a zaku and a painter victory to make a lil scene from the moon fight

Thank you! After building this one, I really wish I would've gotten the Phantom Gundam as well. I do have that X-0 Full Cloth coming at some point.

Maybe we'll both get lucky and p-bandai will run these again next year!

That looks fantastic! I just got mine the other day. Popped open the box to take a peek but that's it. How does it shake out with nubs vs the finish?

Edit: you already answered that question lol. Guess I was too excited by the pretty pictures 😅

If you look at the inside forearm towards the hand in the "come at me bro" pose or the "a sword called compensation" pictures you can see some of the nub scars.

You do gotta be careful with a lot of the undergates, they're real close to the face edge and some need to be trimmed completely away for proper fit. Also, too much paint thinner to remove panel liner can take the finish off. Recommend testing it on the runners first to get a good idea of how much you can get away with.

The arm pieces really could've used more undergating. The nub scars really stand out against the finish.

Thanks for the heads up, runner tests are always a good idea. I'm surprised there's much undergating at all. Bandai usually saves that for the more expensive grades regardless of PB status. But I'll take it!
