Moving gives you a smaller pool of users because if you’re on Lemmy.World or Sh.itjust.works, you will be invisible to Beehaw users. Beehaw has defederated from them both due to their high volumes of bad actors combined with insufficient moderation tools to deal with that issue (see: https://lemmy.ml/post/1265302). Further, if you are a user on those servers, you should not subscribe to any Beehaw communities for the same reason... but since they have some active and interesting communities, the better option for users is to migrate to a better server -- like lemmy.ml!
