Hey, indeed it appears that the community was somehow removed by you:
Notice it says "Deleted by creator" .
Can you check in the top right corner, in the area visible in my screenshot, is there not a small "Restore" link? This should in theory let you un-delete the community.
Yes, "DELETED BY CREATOR" was the very first thing I noticed! π
But yes, I looked around the upper-right, but didn't see much of anything like a "Restore" link. Now I did try pressing the "Joined" button, and now it looks like this:
Ugh, so now I've made the whole situation somehow worse?
Oh, but check this out-- I have a "homepage" community under my same ID ( https://lemm.ee/u/JohnnyEnzyme) and I notice that the EDIT button:
...sits weirdly right next to the trash-can icon:
So... I guess probably I touched the one whereas I meant the other??
Thing is-- such a thing was almost *inevitable* as someone who tried to keep updating our site documents (resources and FAQ).
Aha, I think this restore feature is missing from the standard Lemmy UI.
Maybe this will help: I quickly implemented a very basic restore button on lemmy-ui-next. Can you check if you see a "Restore" button in the sidebar at https://next.lemm.ee/c/eurographicnovels? Note that you must be logged in as a moderator to see this button.
I need to step away from my computer for a while, but if this doesn't work, then I will be able to look into it further during the weekend.
Thanks, tried it just now. Got this:
Can you try logging in first at https://next.lemm.ee/login - or are you seeing this while already logged in?
I did try logging in that way and then clicked around the stuff you mentioned, damn.
Still nothing.
EDIT: Let me take a nap right now, and hopefully this will all be a ridiculous dream a little later..
I temporarily transferred the community to myself and was able to undelete it. I've transferred it back to you now, should be all good.
Oh, oh, oh...
I'm in tears right now
round of applause
Well done sir
πππThanks a lot! We appreciate it!πππ
Hey, I'm a mod of /c/eurographicnovels. Since the restore link is not showing for @[email protected], is there any other way to un-delete our beloved community? It was just one wrong click, we never meant to delete our community, on the contrary, we have poured love and care into it since the great reddit migration and we want to keep doing that.
Dear lord, you're the best!
