I'm genuinely curious if some can eli5 how torrent trackers came into existence. Does anybody have any concise articles or youtube videos they recommend about the history of torrent trackers (the tech and the instances) from the beginning?

Hmm, I know there are two Pirate Bay documentaries, but I think they focus more on their story and the legal fallout rather than the origins of torrent piracy.
