Holy shit! That is absolutely insane! I guess there's nowhere safe except for underground?
They usually recommend if a basement is not available to get in a small room or closet on the bottom floor as close to the center of the building as possible.. The more walls closer together make it a bit sturdier, but you know, if a big-ass tornado hits your house directly, who knows what chance there.
Based on this video, it's zero chance.
Well, it's the midwest, so there's that radon gas thing in the basements. 😐
I'm joking, though. Underground is best if you can find it. I grew up in Indiana.
