I wouldn’t be opposed to using more traditional camera angles during the live play and then sometimes showing this angle as an immediate replay afterwards.

Yeah this what I would prefer. When I was watching this live I didn't even see the 2B when the ball was hit and then suddenly they cut to him botching the ball.
