A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The best ones are thoughts that many people can relate to and they find something funny or interesting in regular stuff.

When Threads eventually will not federate, the same people that urged to deferderate in advance, and thus remove the point of being ActivityPub compatible, will be the same to complain. (self.showerthoughts)

You know, we can always just re-federate any time we want, right? We can flip back and forth endlessly if we feel like it. May as well start with a protectionist stance until we have a better idea of what we're dealing with.
