The US auto market got a massive PR boost this year with the whole UAW affair. No one in power would throw that away by removing the protectionist policies that have been in place for decades. The US market is held hostage by the Big Three who want to sell you garbage AWD, unrepairable, unibody crossovers

People love that shit though. I don't get it but everybody wants a crossover nowadays. Can't blame the car companies for selling what people want. There are compact and subcompact cars on the market people just don't buy them.
