There are many overlaps between the tf2 and gmod community (such as tf2 related gmod videos), and I think it is relevant enough for me to post it here, especially considering Team Fabolous 2 has parts that was filmed on a mario kart map and that map might get taken down. Remember to archive these stuff that might taken down, they aren't winning this. Fuck Nintendo. I regret buying ToTK from this dumpster fire of a company last year.

(sorry for the somewhat out of place and angry rant I just wrote this out of rage)

As much as I don't like the way Nintendo acts, they do have the copyright on characters and whatever else.. how is it actively hindering creativity? You are free to create a mimkendo with totally awesome Italian man. You can't use Mario or Nintendo stuff.. make your own? Why is that such a big deal?

sorry, my comment isn't phrased very well. What I'm trying to say is that they shouldn't be that harsh on their fans, and even if they technically have the copyright, they should still have some sort of fair use policy for their fans so they can easily make fan content without having to worry about trouble. However, I am aware that this subject is a very debatable subject and I'm no lawyer and I'm also slightly inclined towards fan content, so take my words with a grain of salt.

I understand the fans wanting to make fan content without getting in trouble.. I don't think Nintendo is going to sue you for creating a drawing or a painting ... it's just when people take liberties with the characters.. like Nintendo hentai or using Nintendo skins for violent games.. like obviously that's destructive to the image of the characters and I totally agree that Nintendo should protect its content

Understandable, its often times the "gray zone" in between the extremes where drama tends to happen, as it is hard to tell what is acceptable and what's not. Sometimes nintendo cracks down hard on these stuff and sometimes they don't (they didn't crack down on gmod for the entire existence of it) which many people like me find annoying, as one day what you're doing is okay and the next it's not.
