About a week now since I joined Lemmy. It seemed to me at first that place like this, where the tech knowledge prerequisites are a little higher than Reddit or Twitter, and being a lot of Reddit refugees, would be a bit of a liberal haven.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not against discourse, although these days that is trying at best. But, in the last few days I've been running into a lot of bullshit MAGA style nonsense on Lemmy.

And, I gotta say, that's a bit disappointing.

It's not quite MAGA, but I'm surprised by the amount of both-sideism and soft spoken right wing bullshit in this thread.
