So the arguement seems to be that electric vehicles are more cutting edge, and battery manufacturing and charging stations are a limiting factor, they need to "catch up" to the demand. Good points.
However, I will say, once I got an electric car and never had to go to a gas station ever again I never looked back. Not having to pump smelly gasoline into my car feels like such a luxury. Not burning gas an emitting CO2 makes me feel good. Not being able to go on long car trips without planning charge stops is a trade off, but for me personally, the road trips are few and far between compared to how frequently I'd need to pump gas.
