Sure, by selling the property to the tenants as a co-op and demoting yourself to property manager.

So I was imagining more single-family homes than apartment units, but can you explain to me the difference between a coop and a condo?

Also, how does purchasing a coop help someone who specifically does not want to buy something because they don’t want to significantly establish themselves in the place they’re currently living?

This sounds like a pretty glib answer to a question that was asked in earnest.
