I am too used to SwiftKey, I tried. I can't get used to it.
its the same for me, except I'm on gboard
I used to use gboard but it just too heavy for a keyboard app so i switched to Swiftkey, also imo Swiftkey have superior autocorrect and glidding typing.
@G0FuckThyself SwiftKey is definitely THE 3rd-party keyboard on iOS. Even with their tacked-on "AI" bullshit
I am on Android and Bing AI isn't too intrusive on android, most of the time i don't even notice it.
@G0FuckThyself it's okay even on iOS. They canceled it for iOS for a couple of months, there was a big stink about it, and I'd bet they renewed development only after they figured out how to shoehorn AI onto it :)
@G0FuckThyself then there's (hidden) features such as word-for-word suggestions of texts you have last written, which is super useful when you lose a typed text in faulty entry fields or something like that. Saved me re-typing so many times.
Definitely, the built in TODO, and clipboard are just icing on the cake. it has quite a few feature that makes it worth to use even if MS bought it.
Same for me. I am trying OpenBoard right now but the auto correct is no way near as good and when I go back to manually correct it removes the spaces before words itauto corrected leavingweird things for me to fix like "itauto". I'm so mad that Microsoft bought SwiftKey.
Are you using jerboa? The auto correct removing spaces isn't a general thing, it is specific to a library jerboa uses (compose), which has odd behaviour, causing openboard to malfunction.
I don't really have problem with MS buying it, it works nice for me and that's all i need. i never type my passwords so i don't have to worry about it.
MS haven't done anything to SwiftKey that I have a problem with (to my knowledge). However, the more consolidated my data is the less happy I am. If my data has to go somewhere, I'd prefer it if a bunch of servers owned by different companies have my data, as that makes it harder for companies and to get value out of it.
